This weekend at the Holte Suite, Villa Park, in association with Matchroom Boxing, Tommy Owens Promotions (TOP) unleashes its ‘Savage Intentions’ edition.
Topping a bill that consists of an alluring mix of title and non title fights, Sam ‘The Savage’ Eggington takes on Peter Kramer of Hungary for the vacant International Boxing Organisation Continental Super Welterweight Title.
Eggington, who opened his professional journey in September 2012, now heads into the 11th title fight of his career and having won the Midlands Area Welterweight Title (2013), WBC International Silver Welterweight Title (2015), Commonwealth (British Empire) Welterweight Title (2015), British Welterweight Title (2015), WBC International Welterweight Title (2016) and the EBU European Welterweight Title (2017) will now be looking to add the IBO Title to his impressive haul.
The Birmingham born boxer who currently stands at 22-4-0 returned to action and winning ways in April this year with a 2nd round stoppage of the Hungarian southpaw, Achilles Szabo having lost his previous fight, a European Welterweight Title fight against Mohamed Mimoune, in October last year by split decision.
Here he is speaking to iFL TV after his win.
True to his word Eggington has sights on the IBO Title, a strap previously held by the current IBO Inter-Continental Super Welterweight Champion, unbeaten German boxer, Sebastian Formella who beat Denis Krieger to grab the title in May 2017 at Barclaycard Arena, Hamburg.
