James Beech Jnr is the new Midlands Area Super Featherweight Champion after defeating Louis ‘Flash’ Fielding in a bloody encounter at Walsall Town Hall last night.

The event dubbed ‘Lord of the Flys’ by Errol Johnson’s BCB Promotions saw the two fighters go all out in a clash that was ended in the 9th round when Beech Jnr, sporting a bad cut over his left eye and on the verge of being being pulled out of the fight by the ring medics, finally found the punches to bring Fielding’s challenge to a dramatic halt.

Beech Jnr leaves Fielding in a heap after piling on the pressure in the 9th round.

This was a fight that neither boxer had come to lose. Having recently reignited the flames of his boxing torch with an impressive victory over Ricky Starkey in Birmingham, Fielding was looking to really consolidate his return with a title win but Beech Jnr, buoyed by vociferous home town support and looking for his ninth win in nine, was in no mood for second best.
